Matrix White and Chromatic Energy
Her work stands out as a rare intellectual and aesthetic proposition. Its strength lies in a visual invention that fuses three fundamental elements: the matrix white of handcrafted Fabriano paper, the silent precision of the ink stroke, and the dazzling energy of color. This symbolic abstraction, of immense conceptual depth, is validated by the highest standards of the art market and art history (Drouot, CAM Mondadori critical committee, Fondation Taylor). An institutional prominence definitively anchored by her exhibition at the 2026 Venice Biennale (Galleria AccorsiArte, Biennale Cat.), consecrating the maturity of an approach that is both rigorous and universal.
I create where boundaries blur. Where stark realism meets vibrant, poetic abstraction, and where white becomes matter, silence, breath. To create is to embark on a quest for the unprecedented, and far from the beaten path, I guide matter. I don’t seek to reproduce what already exists, but to reveal what lies hidden at the edge of the unknown. Each creation is an exploration without a safety net, a visceral rejection of habit.
Welcome to my home. Here, you are at home.

The trip to Venice continues...
AccorsiArte Gallery Venice
Following the warm reception from the public and collectors, the exhibition at the Galleria AccorsiArte Venezia (Castello-Arsenale), as part of the 61st Venice Biennale, will continue until September 20, 2026. An opportunity to view my two artworks, Pop Summer and Anni Ruggenti.
The Venice Biennale 2026
Gallery AccorsiArte Venice
Alessandra Viotti-Gilabert will exhibit in Venice from May 7 to 17, 2026, with the opening of the 61st Biennale, at the AccorsiArte Venezia gallery, which also represents her in Turin.
This presence is all the more significant as the AccorsiArte gallery and its director, Daniela Accorsi, are featured in the official catalogue of the 2026 Venice Biennale.
Permanent Representation
AccorsiArte Gallery in Turin - Italy.
Since early March 2026, my artwork has found a new home in Turin, at the magnificent AccorsiArte Gallery, nestled in the heart of the city’s historic streets. It now represents me in Italy, and I am proud to see my creations constantly resonating within its walls. Turin’s majestic architecture, the gallery itself, and the energy of my art… the encounter was inevitable. A new adventure begins.
The Anthological Exhibition
WikiArte Gallery in Bologna - Italy
The Anthological exhibition took place in November 2025 at the WikiArte Gallery, located in the historic center of Bologna, a short walk from Piazza Maggiore. The gallery is managed by Deborah Petroni and Rubens Fogacci. I exhibited 17 of my Artworks there…
Anatomy of the Artwork
Materiality and Technical Rigor
In my creative process, the medium is never neutral. It is the primary condition of the work. My visual research revolves around an absolute material requirement, based on the tension between three constituent elements:
The Matrix: Fabriano Cotton Paper (350g/m²)
The space of the work takes root on a cotton Fabriano handcrafted paper of an exacting weight (350g/m²). I specifically select a hand-brushed grain, whose raw texture catches the light and offers a carnal resistance to the gesture. This pure white, framed by its traditional deckled edges, is not a mere background, it is an active, original space that breathes and interacts with the composition.
The Incision: The fine ink stroke
On this textured surface, the fine ink stroke demands surgical mastery and precision. The contrast between the pronounced grain of the handcrafted paper and the unalterable finesse of the ink creates the silence and architectural tension of the artwork. It is a gesture that allows for no correction.
The Saturation: Acrylic and precious pigments
The chromatic vibration is achieved through the application of acrylic symbols enriched with precious pigments. Worked in dense, solid fields, the pictorial matter seals the paper without ever suffocating it. The perfect flatness of these color zones, juxtaposed with the minimalist ink stroke, generates the optical dynamic that defines my visual identity.
Art Critics
…Entirely captured in the vibrancy of a sign imbued with an innate sensitivity, where acrylic and graphite, sublimated by the presence of iridescent pigments, gold, and silver, forge a subjective and captivating visual language that becomes “medium,” through which Viotti-Gilabert, with forms and colors, skillfully explains the intimacy of poetics….
Pietro Franca. Curator of the Wikiarte Gallery Bologna, Italy. Curator of the Anthological exhibition of Alessandra Viotti-Gilabert
