The artist uses the prestigious Fabriano 350g paper, a handmade cotton paper. This museum-quality paper, hand-brushed, fringed and watermarked, guarantees, thanks to its acid-free composition, vibrant colors and exceptional longevity.
Pictorial Series Points de Vue
The Points de Vue series is a cycle of introspection where the female face becomes the geometric location of pure thought. The title plays on a double meaning: a gaze turned upon the inner world, and the vantage point from which perception emerges. Moving away from a simple figuration of the introspection of closed eyes, this cycle explores the fundamental tension between the visible and the invisible gaze. In certain works, the gaze is introspective, partial, veiled by geometric patterns or infinitesimal tracings, forcing the viewer to seek out perception. In others, it is totally masked by chromatic bursts or weaves of lines, suggesting a loss of self in emotion or thought. It is a masterful fusion of mental topography and pure feeling, where the matrix white of the paper acts as the sovereign space of possibilities.
